Clinical Study on the Value of Tubal Catheterization and Hydrotubation Using Hysteroscopy in the Treatment of 45 Infertility Women

Objective

To study clinical effects of tubal catheterization and hydrotubation using hysteroscopy in the treatment of infertility.

Methods

From December 2006 to January 2007, 90 cases of infertile women of oviduct obstruction were divided into treatment group (n=45) and control group (n=45) randomly. Informed consent was obtained from all participates. The patients in control group accepted tubal hydrotubation, and treatment group accepted tubal catheterization and hydrotubation using hysteroscopy. The rates of tubal repatency and pregnancy were observed.

Results

The rates of tubal repatency were 71.11%(32/45) in treatment group, and 28.89%(13/45) in control group, which had significant difference between two groups (P<0.01). In half a year after the treatment, the rates of pregnancy were 62.22%(28/45) and 24.44%(11/45) in treatment group and control group, respectively, which also had significant difference between two groups (P<0.01).

Conclusion

The clinical effect of tubal catheterization and hydrotubation using hysteroscopy in the treatment of oviduct infertility is superior to that of tubal hydrotubation greatly.
