Development serves as the central tenet of pediatric research. High-level conceptualization of the cognitive dimensions and research strategies in development is crucial for exploring the origins of life and improving disease management. This article focuses on the conceptual definitions, core connotations, and clinical practice challenges in child development research, emphasizing the need to dynamically and systematically restructure the frameworks for studying child health and disease through a developmental mindset, thereby strengthening holistic research in pediatrics.
