Research progress of levonorgestrel intrauterine system treatment for young endometrial carcinoma patients with fertility-sparing request

Recent years, the incidence of endometrial carcinoma was in a significantly increasing and younger trend, fertility-preserving of these young women with endometrial carcinoma has become one of the unavoidable clinical disposals for gynecologic oncologists. In various conservative treatment methods for young endometrial carcinoma patients, progesterone or levonorgestrel intrauterine system brings better compliance, but without side effects as oral progestins does. In this article, we will make a review of levonorgestrel intrauterine system treatment for young endometrial carcinoma patients with fertility-sparing request, aiming at providing a better therapy for young women with endometrial carcinoma who want to preserve fertility.
