Rapid Assessment Procedure Study on Service Satisfaction of the Free Pre-pregnancy Eugenic Health Check in Guangzhou

Objective

To explore the satisfaction of childbearing age women received free prepregnancy eugenic health check and the identity of the service personnel provided check project in Guangzhou.

Methods

According to Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS), a total of 250 women received free pre-pregnancy eugenic health check,25 medical staffs and 25 family planning managements from fixed service organizations carried out free pre-pregnancy eugenic health check from September to December 2013 were investigated. Among 7 evaluation indexes about service satisfaction were customized, including convenience, comprehensiveness, explain and communication, service attitude, service technology, service efficiency,overall satisfaction, and analyzed the satisfaction of childbearing age women received free pre-pregnancy eugenic health check and the identity of the service personnel provided check project through rapid assessment procedure (RAP). Analyze the correlation between satisfaction and 7 evaluation indexes by multiple linear regression. The study protocol was approved by the Ethical Review Board of Investigation in Human Being of 25 fixed service organizations above. Informed consent was obtained from each participant.

Results

① Top three ways to get information of free pre-pregnancy check were 42.8% (107/250) of "neighborhood committee workers", 21.2 % (53 /250) of "publicity column, folding" and 12.8 % (32 /250) of "friends, family members", successively; Average satisfaction rate of the pre-pregnancy health check on surveyed women was 69.4%. Top three satisfaction rates of evaluation indexes were 82.0% (205 /250) of convenience,76.0% (190/250) of service technology, 74.0% (185/250) of explain and communication. successively ; The overall average satisfaction rate had positive correlation mainly with the evaluation indexs of convenience, service technology and explain and communication(r=0.625, 0.335, 0.248; P<0.01) . ②A total of 50 service personnel who provided check project agree the advantage of carrying out free pre-pregnancy check was 94.0% (47/50) of "money guarantee", the obstacle was 74.0% (37/50) of "low people awareness of health care", the most urgent problems need to be resolved to promote free prepregnancy check were 76.0% ( 38/50 ) of "expanding propaganda and improve awareness about pre-pregnancy check of people".

Conclusions

There was certain promotion space about service satisfaction in the free pre-pregnancy eugenic health check in Guangzhou. In order to improve the pre-pregnancy eugenic health check's social benefits and achieve the purpose of primary prevention of birth defects, we should pay more attention to the risk assessment and consultation, enhance awareness of initiative service, strengthen social propaganda,integrate and optimize every resource.
