To explore more effectively the therapeutic effects of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage(HIBD)by prenatal period.
140 infants with HIBD were divided into a treatment group, which received medical massage, and a control group. After stabilization, infants in the treatment group received both full-body massage and massage at 8 hygienic points for 1 year.Growth measures, development quotient(DQ)and mental index(MI)were used to evaluate the effects of the treatment.
Infant growth measures, MI and DQ value were compared the massage group with the control group of one year old.All measures value were significantly higher in the massage group(P<0.01).Furthermore, the incidence of unfavorable prognosis was significantly lower in the massage group(P< 0.05).
The results demonstrated medical massage could promote the rehabilitation of infants suffering from HIBD-related nervous system damage, and improve patient prognosis.
