Research progress of curative effects on cervical cerclage with different types of sutures for treatment of women of reproductive age with cervical incompetence

Cervical incompetence (CI) is an important cause of repeated second trimester miscarriage and premature birth in women of reproductive age. Cervical cerclage (CC) is an unique and effective method for treatment of women of reproductive age with CI. At present, there are not enough literature at home and abroad evaluating curative effect of CC with different types of sutures for treatment of women of reproductive age with CI, and there is no consensus on research conclusions. The latest research progress of the characteristics of different types of sutures in CC for treatment of women of reproductive age with CI, the evaluation of curative effects of CC and its impact on pregnancy outcomes are reviewed, in order to provide a reference for clinicians to choose suitable sutures in CC for treatment of women of reproductive age with CI.
