To use hysteroscope in diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic diseases in young girls and unmarried women

Objective

To investigate the value of hysteroscope in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in young girls and unmarried women.

Methods

32 cases of young girls and unmarried women (January 2004 to December 2006) with abnormal vaginal bleeding or endometrial abnormality were examined and treated by hysteroscopy under analgesia in our hospital which aimed at examining the vagina, cervix uteri, uterine cavity without any injure to the vagina and hymen.

Results

32 patients were all diagnosed and treated successfully.

Conclusion

Hysteroscopy is a safe and effective method to diagnose and treat young girls and unmarried women.
