The study of E-cadherin and CD44 varient 6 on pathogenesis in human adenomyosis

Objective

To observe the expression of E-cadherin and CD₄₄ v6 in human adenomyosis.To explore the correlation between the expression of E-cadherin and CD₄₄ v6 in the pathogenesis of adenomyosis.

Methods

The expression of E-cadherin and CD₄₄v6 in 50 ectopic and eutopic endometrium of adenomyosis was detected by immunohistochemical method in comparison with 30 normal endometrium.

Results

were analyzed by SPSS13.0 statistical software.Results The expression of E-cadherin in ectopic and eutopic endometrium of adenomyosis is lower than that in normal endometrium(P <0.05).The expression of CD₄₄v6 in ectopic and eutopic endometrium of adenomyosis is higher than that in normal endometrium(P<0.05).There was a negative correlation between the expression of E-cadherin and CD₄₄ v6 in eutopic endometrium of adenomyosis and ectopic endometrium of adenomyosis(P<0.05).There was no correlation between the expression of E-cadherin and CD₄₄v6 in normal endometrium(P>0.05).

Conclusion

The abnormal expression of E-cadherin and CD₄₄ v6 in eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium has relationship with the etiology of adenomyosis.
