With the improvement of living standards and the influence of poor diet habits, the prevalence of obesity in children and adults is increasing. Childhood obesity can lead to a variety of chronic metabolic diseases, which may persist into adulthood, seriously endangering the health of individuals. Exercise and diet therapy are effective means to prevent and treat childhood obesity. The mechanism of exercise in preventing and treating obesity is also a hot topic in the field of child health in recent years. Scientific exercise can induce the body to produce myokines, which play an important role in the process of fat reduction through exercise of children with childhood obesity. In this study, we intend to elaborate the latest research status of myokines, such as Irisin, fibroblast growth factor (FGF) 21, interleukin (IL)-6, IL-15, myostatin (MSTN) and so on in the role of exercise fat reduction, in order to provide potential targets for the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity.
