Neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS) is a ventilation disorder caused by the lack of pulmonary surfactant (PS) or the immaturity of lung development. Correct ventilation strategies are important for the treatment of NRDS patients since the deficient or excessive ventilation is harmful to the patients. This article elaborates the latest research progresses in ventilation strategies for NRDS neonates.
