Objective

To analysis the clinical features and antibacterial drugs usage in patients with preoperative gynecological and obstetrical surgery from a second-grade class-A hospital.

Methods

From June 2010 to 2011, 300 patients with preoperative gynecological and obstetrical surgery were randomly selected in the study from a second-grade class-A hospital in Shenyang. The data of clinical features was analyzed retrospectively. The study protocol was approved by the Ethical Review Board of Investigation in Human Being of Sujiatun Central Hospital.Informed consent was obtained from each patients.

Results

There were 109 patients(36.33%) who accepted cesarean section, and 15 patients had fever(postoperative measurement, twice). The application rate of antibacterial drugs was 100.0%, and the application rate of cefoxitin was 41.33%. There were only 5 patients who accepted drug sensitivity test.

Conclusions

Management of antibacterial drugs administration for patients underwent gynecological and obstetrical surgery should be strengthened in this second-grade class-A hospital.
