Study on Clinical Curative Effects of Hoisting Soup in the Treatment of Children With Chronic Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura

Objective

To investigate immune regulation, clinical efficacy and T lymphocyte subsets of the hoisting soup in the treatment of chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) in children.

Methods

From August 2008 to December 2011, a total of 44 cases with chronic ITP in People's Hospital of Jimo City, Qingdao Municipal Hospital and Taian Chinese Medicine Hospital were included into this study. They were randomly divided into treatment group (n=23) and control group (n=21). Informed consent was obtained from all participates. Treatment group received hoisting soup+ prednison+ adjunctive therapy, control group only received prednisone+ adjunctive therapy. The level of T lymphocyte subsets, platelet and megakaryocyte before and after the treatment were observed.

Results

CD4+ T cell and CD4+ /CD8+ in treatment group increased than those of control group after treating 6 months, but CD8+ T cell in treatment group reduced than that of control group, there had significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). Clinical effects between two groups also had significant difference after the treatment (P<0.05).

Conclusions

Children with chronic ITP presented immunologic functional disorder. Hoisting soup is of immune regulation effect, and reliable curative effects for chronic ITP children.
