Endocrinological function in cervical carcinoma patients receiving ovarian transposition and radical hysterectomy

Objective

To investigate endocrinological function after ovarian transposition and radical hysterectomy in patients with cervical cancer.

Methods

Thirty five patients underwent radical hysterectomy, pelvic lymphadenectomy and bilateral ovarian transposition, and the endocrinoligcal function was determined by evaluating menopausal symptoms and the levels of follicle stimulating hormone and estrovite in serum.

Results

There had no difference in menopausal symptoms and hormones before and after operation(P> 0. 05).

Conclusion

Ovarian transposition could preserve endocrinological functions in cervical cancer patients.
