子宫内膜息肉(endometrial polyps, EP)是育龄妇女及绝经后妇女的常见疾病之一,其病因迄今尚未明确。子宫内膜局部内分泌环境紊乱,被认为是息肉发生的主要相关因素,内膜细胞增殖/凋亡失衡及外源性药物(如他莫西芬)也可促进息肉的发生。最近有研究表明,绝经后息肉和绝经前息肉的发生机制不尽相同,但需进一步研究证实。

Endometrial polyps(EP) is one of the common diseases among postmenopausal women and women of reproductive age. The underlying etiology and pathogenesis are not fully understood. Chaotic endocrine secretion presents a crucial role in the physiopathology, and irregulation of proliferation and apoptosis of endometrial cells are other reasons, and iatrogenic factors such as taking tamoxifen facilitates endometrial polyps development. The pathogenesis of endometrial polyps in pre-menopausal and post-menopausal women may be difference, which needs further study confirmed.
